Eman Al Awadhi is the CEO and MD of Connect 21, a technology company and subsidiary of Expo City Dubai that provides solutions to governments and large-scale organizations. Connect 21 extends Expo City’s legacy by developing future-ready systems that are secure, sustainable, and scalable.

Alongside this role, she serves as Vice President of Network and Cyber Security at Expo City Dubai, the lasting legacy of Expo 2020 Dubai and now one of the region’s most advanced smart city ecosystems. Over a decade at Expo 2020, she led the design and protection of one of the most complex digital infrastructures in the world, deploying emerging technologies and advanced cybersecurity frameworks at a scale never before attempted. Many of these solutions were introduced for the first time globally in a live city environment, safeguarding operations for 192 participating nations and over 20 million visitors, establishing Expo City as a model for digital public infrastructure.

Her leadership in technology readiness for COP28 UAE generated more than USD 30 million in cost savings, while ensuring resilience, scalability, and sustainability across critical systems for this major international event.

Beyond her executive roles, she is an active advocate for digital innovation and cybersecurity, frequently speaking at international and local events and contributing to public dialogue on technology resilience and smart city transformation. She also contributes to academia through university advisory boards, mentors emerging talent, and teaches specialized cybersecurity programs with international institutions. She is a graduate of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Program and has been awarded the UAE Prime Minister’s Medal for Distinguished Employee. She is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at Georgetown University, further strengthening her leadership and business acumen.
